$4 Regular Gas!!!

By Jay Sorgi

Yep...it's here.

$4/ gallon for regular gasoline has hit Milwaukee - first reaching us in northeastern Waukesha County.

A station in Menomonee Falls has hit the "magic" mark: the Mobil station on N56 W13920 Silver Spring Drive, on the corner of Lilly Road in Menomonee Falls.

The report of $4 regular gas first came Saturday on the web site, around 12:45 p.m.

Two other stations were reported on milwaukeegasprices.com to have reached 3.99:
the BP at 15565 West Bluemound Road in Brookfield
the Citgo at 2502 West Wisconsin Avenue on Milwaukee's near west side

The lowest gas price reported on the web site comes from Cudahy: $3.75 at the Speedway on the corner of South Pennsylvania and East College Avenues.

The web site says the average regular gas price in the metropolitan area runs at about $3.87/gallon.
