Sales tax revenue down for Miller Park district
MILWAUKEE - Miller Park took in slightly less money in 2012 from sales tax than the previous year.
In 2011, the district reportedly received a total of $25.9 million in sales tax distributions compared with $25.8 million in 2012.
The 0.1% sales tax began in 1996.
It's collected in Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Waukesha and Washington counties.
The sunset sales-tax revenue was committed to the construction and financing of Miller Park.
Last year, consultants said the tax could end in 2017.
