MILWAUKEE - The Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs and the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development announced they will be holding a free veterans job fair in Milwaukee Jan. 28. The job fair's intention is to connect military veterans and employers.
“We welcome all opportunities to help Wisconsin’s veterans, and partnering with other organizations to concentrate the effort to find veterans employment is something we at the WDVA value,” said Secretary John A. Scocos. “Veterans employment is one of our top priorities and is more effective with more partners. Our veterans are among the best – well trained, tested, and committed to achievement – and are a great addition for any employer to add to their team.”
The fair is for veteran job seekers, active duty military members, guard and reserve members and military spouses.
“At the Department of Workforce Development, we are committed to helping veterans get back to work quickly when they return home after they sacrificed so much to protect our nation’s freedom,” said Secretary Reggie Newson. “We are especially glad to have so many partners, both in public and private sector, who recognize the importance of this commitment.”
The job fair will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at the Milwaukee War Memorial Center, 750 N. Lincoln Memorial Dr.
Job seekers walk-in to attend.
