Walker to deliver budget on Feb. 20
MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Gov. Scott Walker plans to deliver his budget address to the state Legislature on Feb. 20.
Walker notified the state Senate on Wednesday that he intends to deliver his budget on that date.
Walker has been talking about some parts of his two-year spending plan for weeks, but has not revealed many details. On Tuesday he said he hopes to include an income tax cut of around $340 million over two years.
Once Walker delivers his budget to the Legislature, Republicans in control will convene public hearings, discuss the plan and make changes before bringing it to a vote most likely in June.
