President Obama starts second term with Inauguration
MILWAUKEE - A man from Bayside has taken his son to see history on Monday.
Michael Maistelman and his son were to join about 800,000 others on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. to see President Obama's second inauguration Monday.
"The excitement is still out there," said Maistelman in a live interview on TODAY'S TMJ4's "Live at Daybreak."
"The train is packed. There's about 300 people who got on the train with me, everyone wearing President Obama paraphernalia. They're preparing for crowds stretched from the Capitol to the Washington Monument."
He said additional subway trains were taking people to and from the mall on a day where many streets were blocked off for the big event.
Maistelman also told TODAY'S TMJ4 that despite temperatures about 40 degrees warmer than Milwaukee, he and his son had layered up for the festivities.
"My son and I are bundled as if we're going to a Packers game."
