Nature center to offer porcupine clinic
MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- State wildlife officials are planning a public porcupine ecology clinic.
The clinic is set for Feb. 2 at the Sandhill Outdoor Skills Center near Babcock.
The center's staff will discuss results of nearly 20 years of research on Sandhill Wildlife Area porcupines.
Participants will then strap on snowshoes and visit porcupines' winter dens.
Registration is limited to 20 people at least 12 years old and costs $15. Registration closes Jan. 23.
