Local clinics running out of flu vaccines
More than 4200 people have been diagnosed with influenza across the state, and that means it was another busy day at Froedtert Hospital's emergency room.
Wisconsin is in the middle of the most severe flu season we've seen in at least five years, and at Froedtert Hospital, they've seen fewer patients in the ER, but not by much. They went from about 20 patients a day to about 15. if you get your flu shot now, it will take about two weeks to kick in.
This flu epidemic is causing some flu shot shortages in our area, and some places in our area have run out of the flu vaccine, and they don't plan to get anymore.
