Packers, 49ers fans getting married on playoff gameday
MILWAUKEE - Imagine your wedding day ends up on the same day as a Packers playoff game, and you and your spouse root for the opposing teams?
That's the reality for one local couple.
At their rehearsal the night before their wedding, Annie Rindone is already every bit the blushing bride, and her fiance Paul Streett, the proud groom.
"Very excited. I have some butterflies, but I'm ready," explained annie.
The marriage between these college sweethearts will face its first battle even before the couple's first dance.
Their nuptuals are up against one of the biggest football games of the year, Packers vs. 49ers, in the NFC divisional playoffs.
A New Berlin native, Annie is a green and gold girl.
Paul Street, the groom from San Francisco, is a red and gold guy.
"I just was hoping that it wasn't going to be the day of and they'd move us to the Sunday game. But as it is, we're stuck playing each other."
So, how do they plan to raise any little ones?
Paul: "I don't think it's been a question."
Annie: "Oh, I think that's still up for discussion."
They still have time for that. But as for Saturday,
Paul: "I think the 49ers will be discount double checking at the end of the game."
Annie: "I'll say one thing, I know Aaron Rodgers has blood in his system right now for the 49ers because he's bitter."
Paul: "Exactly. Aaron Rodgers grew up a 49ers fan. Hopefully he can stay along for you guys."
Annie: "We'll see."
