Packers use pass play with name of Larrivee's signature call
GREEN BAY - Apparently, it's not just Newsradio 620 WTMJ's Voice of the Green Bay Packers who has his own green-and-gold "dagger."
Yahoo Sports says that the Packers have a pass play that utilizes what's called a "dagger.".
The key target is a wide receiver who adjusts to run straight ahead, then cuts to an open area in the middle-distance passing range.
Packers voice Wayne Larrivee makes a trademark "dagger" call when the Packers make a play that he believes is a game-clincher for Green Bay.
There's no initial word on any direct connection between that call and the Packers pass play strategy.
