WAUKESHA - A Waukesha woman thought she was being creative by calling 9-1-1 to get out of traffic tickets, but now she's facing time behind bars.
"I think it's crazy, yeah," said Kristin Brandstatter.
Aisha Jackson thought she was getting one over on Waukesha police.
"She was in the middle of traffic stops when she was making the 9-1-1 calls, and misusing 9-1-1," said Waukesha Police Captain Ron Oremus.
Waukesha police say Jackson would call 9-1-1 after an officer had pulled her over, and she would make up an emergency so the cop would be called to the other scene.
"Certainly creative, but be really nice if she could channel that creativity towards something more productive than wasting a lot of time," Oremus said.
Jackson would not answer when we knocked on her door, and her attorney did not return our phone calls, but she has pled guilty.
"I think it's somewhat creative, but I think they should do something about it," Brandstatter said.
Jackson will be sentenced at the end of January.
