Teenager arrested after three-county high-speed chase in stolen vehicle
SHEBOYGAN - Authorities have arrested a teenager from Michigan after a high-speed freeway chase involving a stolen vehicle that went through three counties.
The Sheboygan County Sheriff's Department had the 18-year-old suspect from Michigan in custody Monday morning.
The chase started at about 7:30 p.m. Sunday night after the Ford Mustang entered Sheboygan County on I-43.
Ozaukee County officials let Sheboygan authorities know about the vehicle driving recklessly.
Deputies began the chase near Highway 32 in the Town of Holland.
They tried to stop it near county Highway V, but the car sped away from deputies.
The car was traveling as fast as 120 miles per hour during the chase.
A spokesman told WHBL Radio in Sheboygan that crews in Manitowoc County put out road spikes to flatten the vehicle, but it kept driving on its rims.
Authorities finally ended the chase in Brown County, and arrested the suspect after he fled on foot.
