MILWAUKEE - Back on July 17, 2011 surveillance video captured 22 year-old Cordell Robinson walking near 18th and Kerney on Milwaukee's south side.

Robinson was heading to party around one o'clock in the morning. But as he approached an alley the video shows two men jumped out with guns. "Those individuals saw him and they waited and they executed him," explained Milwaukee Police detective Mark Peterson.

The gunmen fired at least one shot sending Robinson to the ground. Then they took off running leaving him to die in the streets.

Robinson's mother, Tina Brooms, has never seen the video. "My heart can't take it," said Brooms.

But her family and police want you to look at the video and help identify the two men caught running away.

"That was someone's son who did that to my son and for what I don't have a clue," said Brooms.

Detective Mark Peterson said this video is crucial key evidence. Evidence police held on to until now. "We have the beginning of a story and we have the end, however, we don't have the middle." said Peterson.

The investigation shows Robinson was a innocent victim to a robbery that night. Police say it was cold blooded murder others may have witnessed. The video shows a van passing, hitting the brakes seconds after the crime happened. Police believe the men in the video are likely from the city's south side.
