MILWAUKEE - A Milwaukee New Year's Day tradition returns at 12:00 p.m. later today.

The Polar Bear Plunge has been scheduled for Bradford Beach.

With wind chills hovering around zero, this will be one of the coldest plunges in recent memory.

People who take the plunge, or just watch and stay warm, can take a shuttle from downtown Milwaukee so they don't have to park on the lakefront.

Storm Team 4Caster Jesse Ritka predicts Lake Michigan temperatures to hover around 42 degrees while air temperatures should be much colder: 14 degrees.
