Fire damages former Palms Bistro

MILWAUKEE - Authorities called in two alarms for a fire this morning at the former Palms Bistro in Milwaukee's 3rd Ward.
Firefighters say they got the initial call about 8:30 this morning.
When they got to the scene, they found a heavy fire in the basement. Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the basement and put it out. But the building has heavy smoke damage.
It's not clear what caused the fire.
