MILWAUKEE - People heading to work in Milwaukee County on Thursday morning didn't experience much snow - just rain-slicked roads for the most part.

For the afternoon, people should expect a drastic change with heavy snow.

"It's going to be the opposite this afternoon," said Storm Team 4's Scott Steele.

"Milwaukee, Racine and Kenosha Counties are going to be seeing heavy, wet snow later on.  The evening commute is going to be dicey there because of the snow that's going to be coming down."

Drivers in northern and western counties have already experienced the heavy snow to come later in Milwaukee.

They will experience heavy winds tonight as they head home from work.

"Don't let your guard down because blizzard warnings take over later today.  The winds are going to be howling, picking up that snow and blowing it around."

The morning commute has been, as Scott put it, a "tale of two cities."

"Beaver Dam and points to the northwest of Milwaukee are dealing with a rough morning commute from snow.  Down in the south and east, it's mainly been rain around Milwaukee, Racine, Kenosha."
