MILWAUKEE - The number of customers who have lost power due to the winter storm has been fluctuating Thursday, but it reached a high point Thursday evening.

During the 5:00 p.m. hour, about 10,000 We Energies customers were without power.

Spokesman Brian Manthey says that the majority of outages came from Menomonee Falls and Ixonia (both 1,600), along with the Fox Valley (about 3,700).

As of 8:49 a.m., We Energies said that about 1,800 customers were without power.

A spokesperson said that the main outages area came from Whitefish Bay, which had about 1,200 customers who needed power restored.

Watertown had about 1,200 customers lose power earlier on Thursday.

Crews were attempting to restore power as soon as possible.
