Some areas are already putting their snow plans into action

In Beaver Dam, the excitement has already turned into action. With up to 15 inches of the white stuff on the way there, the district made an early call to cancel school Thursday. Nicole De Vries took the day off from work so she and her daughter Grace could brave the blizzard together.

Grace De Vries: " We’ll probably bake some cookies watch some movies."

And that looks like a popular plan. The Family Video in town was packed with people who want to stay inside when the snow starts falling.

Noah Wheeler, Manage: "I got here at 3:00 and it's just been madness since I got here. People are getting ready for the storm.”

And with a storm as big as this one may turn out to be, business is booming.

Noah Wheeler: "Anytime there's a threat of snow, even when it's snowing we get busy."

And with just a few hours to go, the excitement is building as kids of all ages wait for the flakes to pile up.

Skyler Starry: "If there's enough snow that goes up to my window, I might be able to take my sled and jump out of the window!”
