Dodge County Sheriff: 'Drivers will be putting themselves at risk'
DODGE COUNTY - Sheriff Todd Nehls is urging residents not to drive during Thursday's storm.
A blizzard warning goes into effect for Dodge County at 12pm Thursday.
"People should only be on the road if it is essential," Nehls told Wisconsin's Afternoon News. "Going out during a blizzard because you need a pack of cigarettes, or a gallon of milk, or to see a movie does not cut it."
Law enforcement officials will be pulled off the road during the blizzard conditions, Nehls said.
"Drivers will be putting themselves at risk," he explained. "Should they go into a ditch, they won't get help right away. You may be in your car for the long haul."
