Drunk driver who smashed into MPD officer pleads guilty
MILWAUKEE - A woman accused of driving drunk the wrong way down I-94 and smashing into an off duty Milwaukee Police officer has pleaded guilty to two counts against her.
According to online court records, Erin Salmon today plead guilty to two misdemeanor counts of hit and run. A judge will sentence her in February.
Police say Salmon, 23, was driving the wrong way on I-94 when she hit officer Joshua Albert head-on on his way home from work earlier this year.
She reportedly did not have her headlights on when the crash happened.
Both Albert and Salmon were trapped in their respective cars when emergency crews arrived.
