Two dead in Waukesha Co. crash
TOWN OF LISBON - Two people are dead after a crash where a car hit a tree in Waukesha County.
Sheriff's officials say that the one-vehicle crash happened at about 2:15 a.m. Friday morning.
It occurred near the corner of Lynndale and Ryan Roads in the Town of Lisbon.
Both people were pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities believe that the vehicle was going north on Ryan Road from Lynndale.
The car left the road while trying to go on a curve. It then hit a tree.
At about 5:30 a.m., crews towed away the only car that was involved in the crash.
Roads were closed in the area during the overnight hours as authorities cleaned up the crash scene.
There was no initial word on the identity of the victims or the cause of the crash.
