Fire at Lambeau Field

LAMBEAU FIELD, Wis.-- Green Bay firefighters were called to Lambeau Field around 2:00pm Wednesday afternoon after reports of a fire near the construction area of the stadium.

According to Lt. Nick Craig of the GBFD, workers were cutting a beam for a new part of the stadium when sparks caught insulation on fire.

The fire was brought under control within 45 minutes but, firefighters had trouble getting water to the burning area, located on a third floor stairwell.

Crews are working on accessing the damage. There were no reports of injuries.
