WAUKESHA - A man was accused of terrorizing his wife and threatening police in Waukesha during a four-hour standoff.
Kelly Shaw was set to enter the Waukesha County Courthouse at 1:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
TODAY'S TMJ4 obtained pictures of Shaw (which you can see in the video to the left) surrendering to police outside his home in Waukesha earlier in December.
The standoff ended peacefully, but new details describe a not-so-peaceful situation.
According to court documents, Shaw told police, "I wish I knew you were outside. I would be dead and hopefully two or three cops would be dead. I would have shot you if I knew you were outside."
Police went to the home because of ongoing domestic violence between Shaw and his wife.
She said her husband threatened to kill police if she ever called them.
"It's all too familiar to us," said Carmen Pitre, the executive director of the Sojourner Family Peace Center, an organization dedicated to helping domestic violence victims.
"We're not asking you to do anything we're not ready to help you do, so reach out for help and we'll be there."
