Fire damages funeral home
WEST ALLIS, Wis. - Memorial services will proceed, as scheduled, for families who pre-arranged for services at a West Allis funeral - even after fire there Friday night.
Schramka-Borgwardt Funeral home spokesperson Lisa Marshall tells Newsradio 620 WTMJ that they have seven locations. So, services will be moved to one of those.
Flames sparked in a second floor office in the funeral home at 1603 S. 81st Street Friday night.
Fire officials estimate damages at about a quarter of a million dollars. No one was hurt.
In addition, employees were able to safely evacuate the three people being cared for at the funeral home, post-mortem.
