BROOKFIELD - Less than two months after a shooting spree that left three women and the shooter dead, the Azana Salon and Spa has been scheduled to re-open at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Workers will to head to the renovated spa at about 10:00 a.m. Friday.

They would discover changes at the spa as they prepare for customers to come this weekend.

"It's a new normal that we're trying to figure out as we go along," explained owner Tami Gemmell in an exclusive one-on-one interview with TODAY'S TMJ4's Susan Kim.

Gemmell revamped the interior with different colors, lights and fixtures.

Employees will also have daily reminders of their friends and colleagues, as a memorial has been built to commemorate the lives of shooting victims Zina Haughton, Maelyn Lind and Cary Robuck.

Workers will find private symbols of their co-workers throughout the salon.

"They're always a part of us, part of our family.  (There are) always going to be remembrances there," explained Gemmell.

She has 65 employees, and says all but four are returning.  They were to view the new Azana together on Friday.

"They deserve to walk through and see (shooter Radcliffe Haughton) doesn't get to win," said Gemmell.

"He doesn't get to say 'You have to be afraid for the rest of your life.'  They know that, and what makes Azana is us."

She worried how business would be, but Gemmell says the response has been incredible.

Bookings for the holidays were almost full, as of Friday morning.

"We've had people say they have never been there, but (they're) coming to support (our) business."

That outpouring of support includes money raised for the victims' families.

The fund includes $41,000 in their general fund and another $60,000 raised by 8-twelve MVP Bar and Grill.

Fund organizers will distribute the money equally to the seven families impacted by the tragedy.

Azana was also set to distribute purple gift cards to benefit the victims' fund.
