Chilly start to the week

  • High pressure will settle over Wisconsin for the next few days. That will mean sunny days, but also cold days.

  • It's going to be cold across the northern part of the country on this Cyber Monday.

  • A chilly start to the morning, just 28 in Port Washington.

  • For today we're below normal. We're also close to setting a record for the longest streak without snow in Milwaukee.

  • We'll struggle to get above the freezing mark today.

  • It's gonna get cold tonight with lows getting well down into the teens.

  • It's still going to be cold Tuesday, although it will warm up just a little.

MILWAUKEE - Hope you enjoyed the extended holiday weekend!  As we snap back to reality, the temperatures will scale back to the low 30s and upper 20s despite partly cloudy skies.  It will feel even colder with a breezy NW wind keeping wind chill values in the teens and low 20s.  Some of the coldest air so far this season invades southeast Wisconsin tonight, overnight lows drop to 18 degrees at the lakefront and 15 degrees inland under partly cloudy skies.

Then we start a very slow warm-up through the work week, with 40s returning by Thursday.  A few flakes are possible Thursday night but the best chance for precipitation comes on Friday when there is a slight chance for rain showers that could linger into Saturday.

WEDNESDAY:    Decreasing clouds, not as breezy, still cold.
        High:   36.
        Wind:  WNW 5-10 mph.
