Last-minute Thanksgiving food shoppers have many options
MEQUON - All eyes will be on the dinner table tonight as we share our Thanksgiving bounty.
Some people were likely have to make a last minute trip to the grocery store.
Pick 'n Save spokeswoman Vivian King told TODAY'S TMJ4's Melissa McCrady about some options for last-minute food buyers - and even for those who may not necessarily be hosting.
"You cannot show up at someone's house and being empty-handed," explained King during "Live at Daybreak."
"I would come to your house and say, 'Thank you so much for inviting me. Here's some red wine.' But, if you have kids, and that's something most people have at Thanksgiving, you may want something non-alcoholic as well, or for those adults who don't drink, you can get some sparkling grape juice, red or white as well."
Then, King showed McCrady a not-so-traditional item to bring your host for Thanksgiving: a mega-sized, holiday-themed chocolate chip cookie.
"The perfect dessert for Thanksgiving...it's something different. It adds a little twist. It has a nice Thanksgiving theme. Who doesn't like chocolate chip cookies?"
You can pick up your chocolate chip cookies, last-minute stuffing or other Thanksgiving food at many grocery outlets, including Pick 'n Save. They were scheduled to stay open until 3:00 p.m.
