Waukesha Home Design Center has donated a 52 inch flat screen TV to the Clement J. Zablocki Veterans Administration Medical Center to replace the one that was stolen earlier this month.
A man walked into the center's south entrance with an empty dolly, took the the 52 inch flat screen from its wall mount, and walked right back out in broad daylight April 4th.
The VA is open to the public, and thousands of people walk in and out throughout the day. Some people remember seeing the thief but thought he was the repair man, and walked right past him.
Veterans Administration Police said they're handling the case, and since the story first broke hundreds of calls have been pouring in.
"We've been very busy," said public affairs officer John Zewiske. "A lot of people in the community have called us with interest in this case; not specific tips, but suggestions."
Anyone with information is urged to call (414) 384-2000, extension 42222.
