Black Friday shoppers forming lines in Greenfield
GREENFIELD - The annual frenzy known as Black Friday has shoppers forming lines at stores around the Milwaukee area.
Two guys showed up Sunday night to "beat the crowd" that would gather at the Best Buy near Southridge Mall. Best Buy was to open at midnight Friday morning.
"It's a little bit more fun," said Joe, one of the Black Friday campers at Best Buy, to TODAY'S TMJ4's Melissa McCrady on "Live at Daybreak."
"It's different, plus you get some really good deals and meet a lot of great people."
Joe said their shopping list included "batteries...I guess a TV, too. Right along them lines, TV's, batteries, a laptop."
A guy dressed as Santa Claus joined Joe in line at Best Buy.
He told Melissa he doesn't seem to mind the cold overnight temperatures, as he says "anything compared to the North Pole is warm."
Many Black Friday shoppers have followed Joe and "Santa Claus" in standing in line for retail stores to open for Black Friday.
Some stores will even open on Thanksgiving night.
