TOWN OF WAUPUN - A father in Waupun is being credited with helping police nab an internet predator.

Zachary Tenpas, 24, is behind bars after he reportedly set up a sexual meeting with someone he thought was a 14-year-old girl.

According to a criminal complaint, Tenpas met a young girl online and sent sexually suggestive messages to her, but the teen's father stepped in.  Dodge County prosecutors say the man posed as his daughter and collected evidence before contacting police and setting up a sting operation.

Tenpas allegedly agreed to meet the girl for a sexual encounter last week and was greeted by officers when he arrived.

If convicted the man faces up to 20 years in prison.  He is due back in court on Wednesday.
