DODGE COUNTY - 18 citations for disorderly conduct have been issued after a fight at the Dodge County Fair was caught on video last week.

The citations were issued to 11 females (aged 13-17) and 7 males (aged 14-17). The teens are from Beaver Dam, Horicon, Mayville, Burnett, and Juneau.

The fight originally only involved five girls and started due to name calling, according to a statement from the Dodge County Sheriff's office. The other girls became involved after a lemonade cup was smashed over one of the other girls' head.

Several of the boys indicated that they didn't call 911 because they "thought someone else would call." The statement from Dodge County adds that one boy said he wanted to stay and admitted to yelling "fight, fight" because he didn't like one of the girls and hoped she would be assaulted.

"If 911 was chosen as a priority over videotaping, this incident would have ended quickly," explains Sheriff Patricia Ninmann.
