A local woman went searching for clues about her family, and in the process made a surprising discovery.
For Sue from Menomonee Falls, genealogy is a labor of love.
"It started 30 years ago, before computers, when my father wanted me to find a relative in the family," explains Sue.
In addition to learning more about her Polish heritage, Sue learned she had an ancestor who died in a mysterious way.
It's a story of a local hero forgotten in time, and a tribute that's long overdue.
That full story comes up tonight at 10 p.m. on TODAY'S TMJ4.
