MILWAUKEE - Firefighters spent late Monday and early Tuesday responding to a two-alarm fire on the city's northwest side.
It began at about 11:00 p.m. Monday at the Newport West Apartments in the 5200 block of Lovers' Lane near U.S. 45.
Fire damaged one unit.
Smoke and water damage displaced other people.
No one was hurt.
Investigators were looking into the cause of the fire.
