MILWAUKEE - A memorial fund has been established to honor a 29-year-old Marquette University alumnus who died of leukemia.

Jeannie Hayes, who became a news anchor at the NBC affiliate in Rockford, Ill., died Thursday after doctors discovered her disease just days before her death.

People can make donations in her name to:
Riverside Community Bank
6855 East Riverside Boulevard

The donations will support what her obituary describes as "Jeannie's community causes."
