Sheboygan teen competent to stand trial
SHEBOYGAN, Wis. - A 13 year old Sheboygan boy who allegedly bludgeoned his great-grandmother to death to steal money for marijuana and pizza is mentally competent to stand trial.
Judge Timothy Van Akkeren made that ruling based on a court-ordered mental health evaluation.
The boy and a 13 year old friend are charged with first degree intentional homicide for the death of 78 year old Barbara Olson at her Sheboygan Falls home September 17th.
In January, the court is expected to be asked whether to move the trial to a juvenile courtroom.
