Merrill woman charged in crash that killed 2
MERRILL, Wis. (AP) -- A Merrill woman is charged with driving drunk and causing a crash that killed two friends in Lincoln County.
Twenty-four-year-old Ashley Baumann faces nine felonies, including homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle. A criminal complaint says Baumann and three other women were at the Dug Out bar in Merrill last June and were trying to find a house party when their car rolled over, ejecting three of the four from the vehicle.
The Wausau Daily Herald (http://tinyurl.com/9wcpxuy ) cites a crash report which says Baumann's blood alcohol level was nearly twice the legal limit for driving.
Thirty-three-year-old Jessica Hartwig and 31-year-old Misty Glisch were killed in the crash. Baumann and 29-year-old Jerrica Woller were seriously injured.
