Milwaukee Sheriff's deputy attacked during OWI traffic stop
MILWAUKEE - Authorities have arrested two suspects who allegedly attacked a Milwaukee County Sheriff's deputy during a traffic stop involving an OWI arrest.
The incident happened at about 2:20 a.m. Friday on Westbound I-94 east of 20th Street.
A spokesperson told TODAY'S TMJ4 and Newsradio 620 WTMJ that during a traffic stop, two people who were in a car went after the deputy and struck him.
According to the spokesperson, the deputy then used a stun gun on one suspect and pepper spray on the other.
Authorities then took the suspects into custody. The driver of that vehicle also was arrested for operating his car under the influence.
