MUSKEGO - An 11-hour tactical situation peacefully ended in Muskego after authorities arrested a man who had barricaded himself in a home.

It started at 9 p.m. Tuesday night on the corner of Martin Drive and Hedgewood Drive.

Muskego Police had a domestic violence warrant out against the man after he allegedly strangled a woman back in August.

They went to the man's home to serve the arrest warrant, and the tactical situation began.

"All of a sudden, you'd hear a copule of explosion-type things, but it was loud pops," said neighbor Andrew Jankowski.

He heard canisters go off to try and get the man out from inside the house.

Officers arrested the man at about 8:00 a.m. Wednesday.

A woman previously had called police, saying the man was harassing her on the phone in violation of his bail.

"I didn't think anything like this really happened in Muskego," said Jankowski.
