OCONOMOWOC- The Azana Spa and Salon in Brookfield plans on reopening their doors less than two months after the deadly shooting on Sunday, October 21.
According to the Brookfield spa's Facebook page, "Azana Salon and Spa is tentatively planning to reopen on Saturday, December 1st." The post Monday afternoon says the physical building is closed for rebuilding, but they are allowing people to book appointments.
"We're working hard to rebuild and Dec. 1 is our goal to reopen," says Tami Gemmell, owner of Azana Salon and Spa. "We want to stay connected to our customers by giving them the opportunity to book appointments and order gift cards."
Four people, including gunman Radcliffe Haughton, were killed during the shooting, and four were injured.
"We ask that everyone please continue to keep the victims and their families in their thoughts and prayers," adds Gemmell. "The community's love and support has been so heartwarming. We've received so many donations to the Azana Victim's Fund and the outpouring of ideas for fund-raisers is amazing. We are so thankful."
Donations to the Azana Fund for Victim's Families can be made at any Associated Bank. The number to call with questions is (262) 784-3370.
