Second three-vehicle crash in 24 hours on I-43 SB in Bayside

BAYSIDE - Sheriff's deputies and fire department crews have gone to the scene of the second three-vehicle crash in fewer than 24 hours near the same freeway interchange.

Crews closed one lane of I-43 southbound because of the crash which happened near Brown Deer Road.  They have since re-opened the closed lane.

One person suffered what were described as minor injuries.

Milwaukee County Sheriff's spokeswoman Fran McLaughlin told Newsradio 620 WTMJ's Jay Sorgi that the crash was about 50 feet away from a three-vehicle crash which closed the freeway on Tuesday.

There was no initial word on the cause of the crash.
