BAYSIDE - Crews have re-opened one lane after the full closure of all southbound lanes of I-43 after a crash near Brown Deer Road.

The North Shore Fire Department initially tweeted that a five-vehicle crash occurred there at about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.  The Sheriff's Department later told Newsradio 620 WTMJ that three vehicles were involved with the crash.

One person was hurt with what a sheriff's spokesperson described as a minor injury.  They refused medical treatment.

Two ambulances and two fire trucks arrived at the scene to assist with anyone who may have been injured.

Sheriff's deputies were directing traffic off at Brown Deer Road until the re-opened lane.

There was no initial word on the cause of the crash.

Authorities estimated about an hour before the crash scene would be cleared.
