WAUKESHA, Wis. - Republican Paul Ryan's wife Janna is helping to get out the vote while adjusting to life on the campaign trail. Up until now she has said very little publicly about the experience.

"Let's give Janna Ryan a big round of applause," said Wisconsin Republican Party Chairman Brad Courtney to a small group of volunteers in Waukesha.

Janna Ryan is on the campaign trail a lot these days with her family. "It's been fun, it's been overwhelming in the sense our lives have turned upside down very, very quickly."

And she's quickly gaining confidence in her new role and finding comfort in those pulling for Paul.

"I was just like to extend a very heart felt thank you for the prayers and support that you all have shown our family these past weeks and months. It has meant so much, thank you,"

From here until the November 6th, she knows the pace on the campaign trail will pick up for his husband.

Benson asked: What do you like about being on the campaign trail?
Janna Ryan: Meeting people.
Benson asked: When you have down time with Paul, do you talk campaign stuff or family stuff?
Janna Ryan: We try to take a break to the extent that we can, just to have family time and enjoy it where we can.

For now, Republicans are just trying to turn out the vote where ever they can. RNC Chairman Reince Priebus was also in Waukesha pumping up volunteers.
 
Benson asked: What do you think this time around, for Wisconsin, what will get you over the top?
Priebus: I think we've done a really good job of winning the ground war. That means coming to places like Waukesha and thanking the volunteers.
