Motorcycle rider arrested for 3rd OWI; suspect had loaded gun
MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department says that deputies arrested a 52-year-old man for an alleged third drunk driving offense after a crash.
Authorities say the man, who is 52, had a loaded gun on the motorcycle.
The crash happened at about 9:20 p.m. Tuesday night on southbound I-43 at the Locust Street off-ramp.
According to a spokeswoman, the man was trying to take the off-ramp, but left the road and hit a sign post.
She says deputies found the loaded gun while searching the motorcycle.
He faces possible charges of his third drunk driving offense, carrying a concealed weapon, endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon and riding a motorcycle without a valid license.
According to the spokeswoman, the law says people cannot carry such a concealed weapon while drunk.
