Kenosha homeowner holds intruder at gunpoint

KENOSHA- George keeps a Smith & Wesson handgun near his bed. He used that weapon to stop a burglary in his Kenosha home Monday night.
"I let him know that I had a weapon, it was loaded and I would shoot to kill if I had to," the Vietnam veteran said. "This is my turf, from here up to the sky."
For his safety, George asked TODAY'S TMJ4 not to use his last name in this report.
It appears the intruder broke through a basement window to get in.
"Something that he hit dropped and when I heard that, I knew there was somebody in the house," George recounted to TODAY'S TMJ4 reporter Tom Murray.
The sound startled George from his sleep. The intruder had already moved the living room flat screen TV to the backyard and was apparently back in the home looking for more.
"I said 'put your hands on your knees' and he did," George said.
Suspect Lorenzo Jones appeared in court Tuesday. He is just 18-years-old and told investigators he already has four children with a fifth on the way. Jones claimed he planned to sell the stolen televisions to feed his family.
"This is one of the most terrifying things that can happen to a property owner, to have someone in your home," Court Commissioner Jon Mason told the defendant.
Jones' father and girlfriend were in the intake court gallery.
"I deeply apologize," Lorenzo Jones, Sr. told reporters. "I can imagine how terrifying that would be, someone coming into your home like that."
The commissioner set Jones' bail at $10,000.
