MADISON, Wis. -  Commercial wind turbines could soon be visible from the Wisconsin state capitol, as well as from other tall buildings in downtown Madison.

Medical software manufacturer, Epic Systems will be building six turbines, each with three 135-foot blades, spinning from the top of a 262-foot tower.

With the addition of commercial wind turbines, the company will be able to provide about 85 percent of its own energy needs by the year 2014.

This will be a first for Dane County.

A spokesperson for Epic Systems tells the Wisconsin State Journal he thinks that the electrical savings will all but pay for the cost of construtction in seven years.
