MILWAUKEE- The son of a Milwaukee County judge charged with murder has been ruled not competent to stand trial, according to online court records.

James N. Donegan has been ordered to undergo mental treatment after a judge reviewed statements from psychiatrists and the evidence in this case.

Donegan's accused of stabbing Teresa Boone to death last month at Milwaukee's Reservoir Park.

A special prosecutor and judge are handling the case to avoid any appearance of bias.  Donegan's father is Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Tom Donegan.  He plans on retiring.

The judge in this case has set up another hearing date on January 10, 2013 to review the status of that mental evaluation.
