Wisconsin historical site to offer servant dinner
MADISON - A historical mansion in southwestern Wisconsin is offering cooking enthusiasts a chance to whip up dishes that reflect the diversity of the site's servants.
The Villa Louis mansion in Prairie du Chien will hold a hands-on cooking workshop in the mansion's kitchen and preserve house on Saturday, Nov. 10.
A family-style dinner will follow.
The menu will feature foods that reflect the servant staff's ethnic diversity.
Participants also will get a tour of the estate.
Tickets are $45 per person.
