Woman dead in burned car in west-central Wisconsin
RIDGEVILLE, Wis. - Police about 40 miles east of LaCrosse this weekend have a mystery to solve.
A passerby came upon a burned-out car and notified police who discovered the body of a woman inside.
The Monroe County sheriff's department say they already have learned that the woman is not the registered owner of the car, a 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix with Minnesota license plates.
Her identity has not yet been released as authorities try to determine her cause of death.
