MADISON -  A head injury has caused Badgers' running back Montee Ball to leave Saturday's game against UTEP.

The Heisman Trophy finalist was reportedly shaken up on a one-yard scoring run in the second quarter.

Wisconsin medical staff quickly rushed Ball to the sidelines and then made an announcement that Ball would not be returning to the game.

The injury comes less than two months since Ball was attacked just off campus.

Three University of Wisconsin students have been charged in the August 1st incident.

A criminal complaint says Ball was kicked and punched.

Wendell Venerable, Robert Wilks and Deonte Wilson appeared in Dane County Circuit Court September 17th where a judge continued their signature bonds.
