President Obama greets Milwaukee voters Saturday
MILWAUKEE - A crowd of about 80 supporters greeted President Obama as Air Force One landed at the 128th Air Refueling Wing at Mitchell International Airport just after 1:00 Saturday afternoon.
The president smiled and said this was about as close to home as he'd been in awhile.
The President then traveled to the Milwaukee Theatre for a fundraising event, where tickets cost between $250 and $25-thousand to get in.
Later in the afternoon, President Obama attended a rally, free to the public, at the Summerfest grounds.
Joe Zepecki is the Wisconsin Communications Director for 'Obama for America'. He says, "We expect to have a couple of thousand folks. These are people who are volunteers, supporters of the President, and we always find at events like these people who are still genuinely undecided want to come out and hear directly from the candidates."
Today's TMJ4 has team coverage on the president's visit.
