SOUTH MILWAUKEE- A suspected sex predator is behind bars after a family took matters into their own hands.
A 19-year-old is charged with having sex with a 12-year-old girl. The girl's relatives found out what was going on, and they contacted police.
"God knows how long this would have continued if we wouldn't have," said one the girl's relatives to TODAY'S TMJ4.
That relative said she found sexually explicit text messages from 19-year-old Brock Baker. She contacted another relative, and they began texting Baker, posing as 14-year-old girls.
"Within three hours that guy was wanting to come over and have sex," said the relative.
According to a search warrant, Baker responded, "Okay, are you on birth control?" and "so is it okay if I don't wear a condom, right?"
That's when the relative called the cops, and they met up with Baker at a South Milwaukee bowling alley.
Baker is being held on a $100,000 bond.
Authorities confiscated computer(s), camera(s) and other items used for the collection, storage, and retrieval of digital video/data from the suspect's home.
South Milwaukee police believes the 19-year-old suspect only targeted the 12-year-old.
